The Business Golf Strategies Seminars

The key to business success is relationship management - building, maintaining and improving relationships with key business partners, suppliers and customers. Used properly, the golf course offers the perfect environment to establish rapport, develop trust and learn more about a client's business needs.

The Business Golf Strategies Seminars are designed to help managers and sales people use the game of golf as a strategic business tool. The seminars will show you how to make the day on the golf course work for you.

"The Golden Rule vs. The Titanium Rule"

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"
vs.
"Treat people the way they want to be treated"

We have been taught that the best way to interact with people is to "do unto others as you would have them do unto you," the Golden Rule. If you literally follow the Golden Rule, and misapply the Rule, the likelihood is that you will create conflict because you are relating to people on your level or from your point of view. You speak to others the way you like to listen or sell the way you want to be sold, or you manage other people the way you want to be managed. You fulfill your needs, not necessarily the needs of others. The Golden Rule would work in a perfect world if we were all alike. The problem is that we are not all alike.

A variation of the concept of the Golden Rule based on the personality differences that will lead us to be more successful in our business relationships: "Treat people the way they want to be treated," the Titanium Rule. We are refocused to consider the feelings and needs of others so that we can create a win-win situation for ourselves and the people we interact with in our business day on the course, and off.
